Authorities in Sint Maarten have renewed their appeal for information that could help locate a Trinidadian man wanted in connection with a double murder on the Dutch Caribbean island.

The Police Force of Sint Maarten (KPSM) and the Prosecutor’s Office on Friday reissued a wanted bulletin for 49-year-old Brent Dain Danglade, who is also known as John Dawn Emmanuel and “Small Brent.”

Authorities describe Danglade as armed and dangerous and are warning members of the public not to approach or attempt to apprehend him.

Danglade is wanted in connection with the March 2, 2026, shooting deaths of Trinidadian Damon Sylvester and 29-year-old Denisha Delancy of Miami, Florida in Sint Maarten.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, investigators believe Sylvester was the intended target of the shooting, while Delancy appears to have been an unintended victim.

Delancy was reportedly visiting Sint Maarten for a birthday celebration with her sister and a friend. Investigators said she had only recently met Sylvester after encountering him at a nightclub and was not believed to have been involved in the circumstances surrounding the attack.

Police said surveillance footage from the nightclub showed unidentified individuals tracking Sylvester before the shooting, suggesting that the attack was premeditated.

Sylvester reportedly operated a PVC pipe business.

One suspect is currently in pre-trial detention on suspicion of complicity in the two murders, but the alleged shooter remains at large.

Investigators believe Danglade has changed his appearance while evading authorities. They have also received information suggesting that he may have received assistance from people associated with Sylvester following the murders.

KPSM said it is actively investigating anyone suspected of helping Danglade avoid arrest.

Wanted elsewhere in the Caribbean

Danglade is also wanted by the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) for questioning in connection with the May 10, 2025, murder of 32-year-old Nyron A. Erickson on Tortola in the British Virgin Islands.

The RVIPF has described Danglade as a serious threat to public safety and said he is known to be armed and extremely dangerous.

Police in the British Virgin Islands have also said he has been associated with allegations involving kidnapping, extortion and multiple murders.

Residents have been urged to secure their homes, vehicles and boats to reduce the possibility of Danglade accessing or using their property while evading law enforcement.

Police have stressed that he should not be approached, confronted or assisted.

Authorities seek information

Danglade is described as approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, light-skinned and slim, weighing about 175 pounds. He has an elongated tattoo on the inside of his right forearm, although authorities said the exact image or meaning of the tattoo is not known.

He has a lengthy history of involvement with law enforcement in Trinidad and Tobago.

KPSM is appealing to anyone who may have seen Danglade or knows where he may be staying to provide information to investigators.

Information can be provided to KPSM at +1 721-542-2222, through the anonymous tip line at 9300, or via the usual emergency numbers.

Authorities said even information that may appear insignificant could assist investigators in locating Danglade and advancing the murder investigation.

The public is urged not to approach him or attempt to apprehend him.
