ST CROIX, U.S. Virgin Islands — A 22-year-old man was shot and killed at a service station in St Croix on Wednesday night.
The Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) said officers responded to the Titan Service Station in Princess after a concerned citizen reported a gunshot victim at about 9:57 p.m. on September 9.
Officers found an adult male on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical technicians arrived shortly afterwards and assessed the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police later identified the victim as 22-year-old Thymothy Rodriguez, following notification of his next of kin.
The VIPD’s Criminal Investigation Bureau is investigating the homicide.

The territory’s murder toll now stands at 35.
