Gulfstream G100 jet

HAMILTON, Bermuda — An international search is underway for an air ambulance that went missing while travelling from Bermuda to Boston, with six people aboard.

The Gulfstream G100 jet, registered as C-GRJP, departed LF Wade International Airport in Bermuda at approximately 12:41 am with four crew members and two passengers.

The US Coast Guard’s Northeast District has launched air and surface searches in an area off the coast of Nantucket, Massachusetts.

The Bermudian Government said it has been in contact with the families of those on board and remains in communication with overseas authorities coordinating the search.

Premier David Burt said his thoughts were with the passengers, crew members and their families during what he described as a deeply worrying time.

“We are praying that all six people will be found safe, and we thank the search and rescue crews for their continuing efforts,” he said.

The government has asked the public to respect the families’ privacy and said further updates would be provided as confirmed information becomes available.
