PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad and Tobago — Petle Mas has announced that it will not participate in Trinidad Carnival 2027.

In a statement, the Champs Fleurs-based medium band said the “difficult decision was made due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances that prevent us from delivering the experience you deserve from us.”

“We are incredibly grateful for your continued support, passion, and loyalty. You are the heartbeat of this band, and your enthusiasm is what drives us every single year.

“While we are deeply saddened that we won’t be hitting the stage together this coming season, we are already looking ahead.”

The band, which is led by Petle Claverie, said it will be back on the road for Carnival 2028.

“We are using this time to rest, rebuild, and design an unforgettable experience for our return,” the band said.

The band thanked its loyal supporters for their understanding.
