SAN FERNANDO, Trinidad and Tobago — Trinidadian police have charged Insgan Jumrattee, also known as “Ponytail”, with the murder of 50-year-old Brandon Balcombe, who died after being found injured in San Fernando in August.
Jumrattee appeared before Master Margaret Sookraj-Goswami at South Court ‘B’ on October 8.
The matter was postponed to March 4, 2027, for a status hearing.
Police alleged that Jumrattee attacked Balcombe on August 29.
Balcombe was found bleeding from an injury along Brown Street, Cipero Street, San Fernando, that day.
He was taken to San Fernando General Hospital for treatment but succumbed to his injuries later that night.
Jumrattee was arrested on October 4 following an investigation led by Superintendent Steve Persad and supervised by Inspector Inshan Teeluck, both of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations, Region Three.
