Gun violence has claimed two lives in Belair, marking St Vincent and the Grenadines’ first double murder of 2026. 

The shooting occurred at a local bar in the George Gutter area late on January 16.

The Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) said officers responding to reports of gunfire discovered Anil Greaves, 22, a local vendor, with fatal injuries. 

He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Two others, Quinn Greaves, 23, and Shamar Bulze, 24, were also shot and transported to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital. 

Quinn later succumbed to his injuries, while Bulze remains in stable condition.

Quinn was the son of radio personality Donnie Prince Collins, who mourned his son publicly on social media. 

“A man shouldn’t have to bury his son, I should grow old with my sons to carry my casket. RIP is something I never dreamt of saying about my son. I don’t know how I feel yet but I will cherish your memories. Goodbye Quinn ‘Huncho’ Greaves,” Collins wrote on Facebook.

No motive has been disclosed, and the double murder brings the country’s 2026 homicide count to three. 

The RSVGPF confirmed post-mortem examinations are pending and investigations are ongoing.
