Barbados Police are probing a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a man in Pegwell Boggs on January 21.

Preliminary investigations suggest that a group of people were gathered in the Christ Church community approximately 1:35 PM when a vehicle pulled up. 

An occupant of the car reportedly exited and opened fire on the group before speeding away.

One man was struck during the volley of shots. He managed to move a short distance before collapsing outside a nearby home. 

A medical doctor was called to the scene, where the victim was officially pronounced dead.

The area remained cordoned off for several hours as forensic investigators processed the scene. 

As of last evening, police have not released the identity of the deceased or a possible motive for the attack.
