A joint police operation in West Kingstown has resulted in the seizure of nearly 23 pounds of cocaine and the arrest of two men, according to the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force.

Police said the intelligence-led exercise was carried out on Monday, February 16, 2026, by officers from the Narcotics Unit, Rapid Response Unit and Special Services Unit. The coordinated operation led to the recovery of 22.9 pounds of cocaine at a residential property.

Two 36-year-old men — Sebastian “Bush” Audain of Lowmans Bay and Alvin Cyrus of Largo Height — were arrested and subsequently charged with possession and trafficking of a controlled drug.

The police force said the operation underscores the importance of coordinated action among specialised units in addressing organised drug activity and preventing illegal substances from reaching communities.

Authorities noted that the presence of such a quantity of narcotics at a residential location highlights the need for proactive and intelligence-driven enforcement strategies to maintain public safety and order.

The matter has since progressed before the courts.

Audain appeared before the Family Court on February 18, where he pleaded guilty to the offence.

He was remanded into custody, and the case was transferred to the Layou Magistrate Court on February 19 for sentencing.

Cyrus pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of EC$30,000 with one surety.

His matter has been transferred to the Serious Offences Court and is scheduled for March 2, 2026.
