A 16-year-old boy has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a 66-year-old woman in Grenada.
In a statement, the Royal Grenada Police Force said the teenager, of Sabb in St Andrew, was charged with non-capital murder over the death of Melva Warwood.
Police said the charge followed investigations into the discovery of Warwood’s body in Mirabeau, St Andrew on May 3.
According to investigators, officers responded to information received and found the 66-year-old woman lying motionless on the ground.
A medical doctor later examined the body at the scene and pronounced her dead.
The teenager is expected to make his first court appearance at the Grenville Magistrate’s Court on May 11.
Police have not released further details about the circumstances surrounding Warwood’s death as investigations continue.
