ST GEORGE’S, Grenada — A 31-year-old woman has been charged with the non-capital murder of 26-year-old Ashandi Edwards following a stabbing incident in Grenada.
The Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) said Kanisha Alexander of Mt Horne, St Andrew, was charged with unlawfully causing Edwards’ death.
Police said preliminary investigations found that Edwards and Alexander were involved in an altercation on September 6, during which Edwards sustained a stab wound.

Edwards was taken to the Princess Alice Hospital for medical treatment but was later pronounced dead by a medical doctor.
Alexander is expected to make her first court appearance on September 8 at the St George’s Number Three Magistrate’s Court.
The investigation is continuing.
