Jocelyn Levenstone has been nominated to become the next Island Governor of Saba, with his appointment set to take effect on July 1, 2026.
The nomination was made by State Secretary for Kingdom Relations and Effective Government Zsolt Szabó and approved for appointment by the Council of Ministers.
Levenstone, 57, was born on Saba and most recently served as Director of the Immigration and Border Protection Service on Sint Maarten from 2023 to early 2026.
Before that, he worked as Head of the Support Post of the Dutch Caribbean Coast Guard on Sint Maarten between 2018 and 2023.
He also previously served as Safety and Security Head at the Sint Maarten Harbour from 2012 to 2018.
Levenstone began his career with the Netherlands Antilles Police Corps after completing police training and later pursued several leadership and management programmes during his career.
He will take over from Jonathan Johnson, who served as Island Governor for 18 years.
