A 19-year-old Anguilla man has been charged with attempted murder and firearm-related offences in connection with a March shooting incident in Island Harbour.

The Royal Anguilla Police Force (RAPF) said Alex Batchelor of West End was charged on Monday, June 8, following investigations into the shooting, which occurred on March 13, 2026.

Batchelor faces charges of attempted murder, possession of ammunition and possession of a firearm.

He appeared before the Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, June 9, where he was remanded to His Majesty’s Prison pending further court proceedings.

The RAPF said the investigation remains ongoing and officers are continuing to pursue all available leads.
