Caribbean Airlines customers can now gift travel to family and friends after the airline launched a new digital gift card programme.
The new gift cards, available from June 24, can be used toward the purchase of eligible Caribbean Airlines tickets as well as travel extras such as additional baggage, pre-order meals and preferred seating.
The airline said the move is aimed at giving travellers more flexibility when planning trips, while also making it easier for people to contribute to someone else’s travel plans.
The digital cards are sent by email and can be redeemed through the airline’s website, Reservations Call Centre, and airport and city ticket offices.
Customers will also have access to a digital wallet feature that allows them to store and manage multiple gift cards and travel vouchers.
Caribbean Airlines’ Acting Chief Executive Officer Varma Khillawan said the new option is designed to make travel more accessible for different occasions, including family visits, business trips and celebrations.
“Whether travelling for business, leisure or to reconnect with loved ones, customers now have another convenient way to plan and pay for travel,” Khillawan said.
The airline said the gift cards will remain available year-round and can also be used for corporate gifting and incentives.
