Dr Didacus Jules has been reappointed for a fourth term as Director General of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), after regional leaders reaffirmed their confidence in his leadership.

The decision was taken during the 78th Meeting of the OECS Authority, where Heads of Government recognised Jules’ contributions to regional cooperation, development and the strengthening of the organisation since he assumed the post in 2014.

During his time as Director General, Jules has helped guide the OECS through several major areas of focus, including food security, digital transformation, education reform and initiatives aimed at improving health outcomes across member states.

Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Dr Godwin Friday, the former Chairman of the OECS Authority, said the reappointment reflects the confidence of regional leaders in Jules’ vision and commitment to advancing integration across the Eastern Caribbean.

The OECS Authority said experienced leadership will remain important as the region faces growing global challenges and works to build a more resilient and connected Eastern Caribbean.

The OECS Commission congratulated Jules on his reappointment and said it looks forward to continuing efforts under his leadership to deliver greater benefits for citizens throughout the region.
