Shertz "Problem Child" James

For the third year in a row, the streets of St Vincent and the Grenadines belonged to Shertz “Problem Child” James.

His infectious anthem “Party Time” was officially crowned the 2026 VincyMas Road March after earning 53 points.

The victory marks James’ third consecutive Road March title, following wins with “Carnival Jumbie” in 2024 and “Fraid Horn” in 2025.

He is now just the fifth artiste to achieve a Road March hat-trick, joining carnival legends Alston “Becket” Cyrus, Lord Hawke, Godfrey “Touch” Dublin and Cornelius “Poorsah” Williams.

Lamar “Blama” Allen with “Polygamy” and Jasper “Jasper YMC” Alexander with “Rum Island” tied for second place.

The latest triumph also gives James his sixth Road March title overall, making him one of the competition’s most successful artistes. His previous victories came with “Party Animal” (2007), “Mad House” (2009), “Neva Bow” (2017), “Carnival Jumbie” (2024), “Fraid Horn” (2025) and now “Party Time” (2026).

Only Becket Cyrus has won more Road March titles, capturing the crown eight titles with “Wine Down Kingstown” (1978), “Cocoa” (1980), “Tone” (1985), “Ah Want Soca” (1986), “Ten Years” (1987), “Teaser” (1990), “Tone Up” (1998) and “Small Pin” (1999).
