Grenada has new Soca Monarchs, with Sabrina Francis and Snakey capturing the Groovy and Power Soca titles at the National Stadium in St George’s on Friday night.
The victories are the first Soca Monarch titles for both artistes, while Francis also made history as the first woman to win a Soca Monarch title in Grenada.
Francis dethroned reigning Groovy Soca Monarch Mr Gold’N with her 2026 hit “Honour You”, a love ballad about appreciating and supporting a partner.
Boyzie finished second in the Groovy Soca competition, while Muddy placed third.
Snakey, meanwhile, outshone 11 other competitors to claim the Power Soca crown with his song “Raging Seas.”
Reigning champion Muddy finished second, with Lil Kerry taking third place.
The results mark a significant night for Grenadian soca, with two first-time champions taking the titles and Francis becoming the first woman to claim a Soca Monarch crown in the country.
