BRIDGETOWN, Barbados —
A 28-year-old man was shot and killed in Barbados on Tuesday night.

The Barbados Police Service said it received an anonymous call at about 9:25 pm reporting several gunshots in the Crab Hill area.

The caller also reported seeing a person wearing a winter coat and ski mask lying on the roadway, with a rifle next to them.

Several police units were dispatched to the area, where officers found the lifeless body of a man.

A medical doctor attended the scene and pronounced the man dead.

The deceased was identified by a relative as Shamar Michael Inniss, 28, of Church Village, St Philip, and French Village, St Peter.

Police said investigations are continuing.
