CASTRIES, Saint Lucia — Jarvis Marlon Alfred was extradited from Saint Lucia to Martinique on September 17, according to the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force.

In a statement, ASP Terry Bradley said Alfred was extradited in keeping with established protocols between the two territories.

Alfred was arrested on February 7, 2026, during an operation and was remanded at Bordelais Correctional Facility on a provisional arrest warrant.

The 26-year-old resident of Wilton’s Yard, Castries, was wanted in Martinique for several crimes, including gun possession, armed robbery and criminal conspiracy.

Bradley said Alfred had been convicted in Martinique on November 19, 2021, and sentenced to 15 years in prison.

“This development underscores the importance of international cooperation in addressing criminal matters that extend across jurisdictions. An individual leaving the jurisdiction in which an offence occurs does not bring to an end the investigative or judicial process,” Bradley said.

He said the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force will continue working with its international partners to ensure that individuals who flee jurisdictions face the consequences of their alleged crimes.

Bradley also urged people to consider the consequences of their actions, saying they should not expect to find a safe haven elsewhere because “the reach of the law does not stop at the border.”
