A 51-year-old watchman is St Vincent and the Grenadines’ latest murder victim after he was found shot dead near a church in Golden Vale.

The victim has been identified as Nicholas Oliver of Arnos Vale.

According to police, Oliver’s body was discovered on Tuesday, near the Anglican Church, with what appeared to be gunshot wounds. 

He was pronounced dead at the scene by the District Medical Officer. 

A post-mortem examination is expected to determine the exact cause of death.

Police have urged anyone with information that could assist investigators to contact the Major Crimes Unit, the Criminal Investigations Department, Police Control, or the nearest police station.
